  Discipleship
Everything begins with discipleship.  A disciple is a Christian who is growing in conformity to Christ and is converting lives.   At Faith Community we define what it means to be a disciple for Christ by teaching the word of God.

  Leadership
Faith Community members acknowledge and understand that one of the most effective ways for our community to evangelize is to be prepared for discipleship.  With this in mind we have biblically based bible studies that focus on understanding God’s purpose for our lives, church and community.

  Church Focus
Faith Community members are committed to becoming part of the larger community.  With this in mind we welcome every new believer with joy, thanksgiving and love.

 

Why do we believe as we do?
Why do we search for answers to life by seeking the revealing presence of a God who we cannot see? St. Mark 11:22 reads as follows:

"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God."

We are born into a life of uncertainty and certainty. We live and we will die however in our humanness we are not capable of reconciling the truth and glory of God's presence with His purpose for our lives.

It is His presence that yields hope for a better tomorrow. It is His presence that brings light to each day. It is His presence that reveals truth and inspires a closer walk with Him. Faith Community A.M.E. Church was not my vision,
it is God's vision. By faith I moved forward but through His grace and mercy, He brought
it to pass.

Reaching beyond boundaries means that our door is not limited by time, space or human perception. Reaching beyond boundaries means that the world is our community. Reaching beyond boundaries means that our purpose is to 'Share the Good News of Jesus Christ." Reaching beyond boundaries means that 'By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." (Romans: 5:2)
