The Beginning of Faith Community

In 2001, while a student at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary Reverend Moss authored a 64 page Church Initiative.

On March 17, 2003, Reverend Moss presented the initiative to Presiding  Elder Robinson at the North District Planning Conference meeting.

On December 12, 2003 Elder Robinson presented the initiative to the Presiding Prelate of the 4th Episcopal District, Bishop Philip R. Cousin.

October 16, 2004 during the 122nd Session of the Chicago Annual Conference, Bishop Cousin appointed Reverend Moss, Pastor of Faith  Community AME Church.

AME Church

The history of the A.M.E. Church is distinct. It is the oldest Black Christian denomination in the U.S. and its history dates back to the late seventeen hundreds. Our ministry is one of liberation and reconciliation; liberation of persons; and the reconciliation of man with God, of person with person, of person to history and environment, and of community to community.
