Requirements for Pastoral Appointment
Reverend Garry Moss was confirmed as Pastor by election of the Annual Conference.
Reverend Garry Moss has met all academic and age qualifications set forth in the AME Discipline. "Academic qualifications" shall mean the pastor holds a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and a Masters of Divinity Degree from an accredited Seminary.
The Pastor shall call and preside over the Boards of Stewards and Trustees and all meetings, shall travel and labor in the charge, and shall labor in the vineyard of the Lord.
Rev. Garry Moss graduated from Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa (1982) with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
In addition to earning a Masters of Divinity Degree from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, he was accepted to the Doctors of Ministry Program at Northwest Theological Graduate School in October, 2004.
Rev. Moss was ordained Itinerant Deacon in 2002 and ordained Itinerant Elder in 2004.
In 1984 the late Reverend Dr. Isaac Kindred performed the wedding ceremony for Garry and Delphine at Canaan AME Church in Maywood, IL.

Reverend Garry and Delphine celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on May 26, 2004 and together they have three children, Kristyn, Garry II and Kortney.
Rev. Moss and his family live in St. Charles, IL where they have been residents of the community for 16 years.
Reverend Moss is an entrepreneur who was named one of America's upcoming businesses professionals by Dollars and Sense Magazine in 1992. In addition to speaking at Bill Winston’s Christian Business Conference in 2003, Pastor Garry spoke at Quaker Corporation, Louisville, KY and Indianapolis, IN Venture Capital Associations and several public schools.
He also holds several patents and is President and CEO of GKM Product Development, Inc. GKM conducts business in China, Italy, England and the United States.
Service in the Ministry
Prior to his pastoral appointment, Reverend Moss served as
Youth Minister and Pastoral Administrative Assistant at
DuPage AME in Lisle, IL for over four years.
